Much of the work of ReStore Community Projects is done by volunteers. In fact, without individuals who give their time freely to us, we would simply be unable to operate.
We run structured training placements for volunteers, who operate in all departments of the charity – in the office, in the warehouse, in the workshop and on the vans. A number of our volunteers have been out of paid work for long periods, and volunteering at a project such as this can be a crucial stepping stone to eventually finding paid employment.
Volunteers come to us from a variety of sources, such as through a training programme, a work placement, a volunteer bureau or other agency, or they simply contact us directly.
